“I have a passion for history, antiques, and architecture,” Lomski said. “I want to restore the (Pink) building and help revive downtown, not just our (The Rosen Building) property.”
With the renovations and upgrades, Lomski said they plan to get the Rosen Building ready “for the long haul,” bringing back that unique, small-town feel that tourists and locals have loved for decades. There are also 25 studio apartments on the second floor, some renovated and available for rent with others currently under renovation.
She added that they are also coordinating with local groups to boost activities for residents and visitors.
While the former Cowboy Corner unit of the building is vacant for now, Lomski said she has some fun plans for the space for the holidays.
“We are going to have a large Santa’s workshop during the Vintage Market (December 13) in the former Cowboy Corner space,” she said. “It will feature a life-size sleigh, Santa visits, and hands-on craft stations.”
As of this post, Lomski said they had five parties interested in leasing the former Cowboy Corner space, including boutiques, antiques and others. She added that the unit would not be leased by end of the year and there will be more details to come.

The location was ideal as the Nightingales also operate DPF Alternatives out of the building.
“For some time, we’ve been looking for a storefront … maybe even Downtown,” Jared said, “but then this just kind of fell in our lap.
“Phil (of Phil’s Automotive) was ready to move down a little bit and move to the back of the shop and we, happened to know that he wanted renters. So, it just worked to move the DPF Alternatives here and, therefore, we could open our Smoky Dreams here.”
Smoky Dreams is located at 3193 NE Hwy 17, Arcadia, FL.
At Smoky Dreams, they offer barbecue supplies, grills, rubs, spices, sauces — all things grilling — as well as a variety of home decor items.
