Quick Response Training: Administered by CareerSource Florida, this program provides funding to qualifying businesses to train their new full-time employees.

Business Incentive Grant (BIG): The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners created the Business Incentive Grant (BIG) program to incentivize businesses to locate or expand in DeSoto County and to bring high-wage jobs and/or invest in property and equipment. Each BIG agreement is customized to the business and will be reviewed and approved by the Board.

RAO Building Materials Sales Tax Refund: Florida Commerce offers the RAO Building Materials Sales Tax Refund. Businesses or individuals who complete a new construction project in a Rural Area of Opportunity (RAO) may be eligible for a sales tax refund on the purchase of building materials, rental of tangible personal property, and pest control services used in the new construction. The program provides a minimum sales tax refund of $500 and a maximum refund of $10,000.
