Arcadia Main Street accepts $50K T-Mobile Hometown Grant

""

ARCADIA — Local nonprofit Arcadia Main Street accepted a $50,000 grant in a check presentation with T-Mobile Friday morning.

The grant is part of T-Mobile's Hometown Grant program. Arcadia was one of 25 communities to receive this year's grant.

The funds will be used to fix up the Downtown Main Street business property facades, to assist business owners and to renovate downtown historical buildings.

The downtown area was devastated during Hurricanes Ian and Nicole in late 2022.

For this year's program, the company dedicated $25 million to fund community development projects like revitalized downtown spaces, revamped parks, building renovations and sustainability efforts.

T-Mobile has now supported 175 small towns since launching the initiative in April 2021.
