Sondra joined DeSoto County staff in July 2021 to oversee economic development and tourism. She is now also over the Turner Agri-Civic Center. Previously, Sondra was with the City of North Port in economic development and marketing. Prior to that, she served as marketing manager for the developers of Wellen Park and Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Her career has led her from disc jockey to stock broker and included radio, television and magazine journalism as well as public relations and marketing.

As a community enthusiast, she’s been involved in many non-profits throughout the area, including the DeSoto County Chamber of Commerce and the Arcadia Rotary Club. Raised in Colorado, Sondra graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and Keller Graduate School of Management. She is excited to be in DeSoto, which is in the “Middle of Everything.”
